We are looking for a Tech Lead.
Must Have:
● 7+ years of experience.
● Java/Springboot (Event Management Backend, Lobby Backend).
● Django/Python (Event Management Backend, Lobby Backend).
● React (Event Management Frontend, Lobby Frontend, IRL Frontend, Jobseeker Frontend).
● Kafka (Event Management Backend).
● GraphQL (Event Management Backend, Lobby Backend).
● SQL or MongoDB (Event Management Backend, Lobby Backend).
● Build and deployment experience.
● Senior-level engineer capable of ramping up quickly and assuming ownership over multiple projects.
● High level of ownership and autonomy.
● Experience with at least one of the following: Dagster, Data Lakes, or Amazon Athena.
Nice to Have:
● Product Manager experience working with GTM teams and engineers to help with prioritization.
● Experience with AI-assisted development tools: Claude, Cursor, Windsurf.
● Individuals who can work independently and be autonomous.
● Take initiative rather than just waiting for instructions, take ownership of tasks — specifically merging and deploying code — without requiring the “hand holding” that occurred with previous teams.
Additional Requirements:
● Leadership and Shepherding.
● Clear & Concise communication.
● Prioritization and strategic thinking.
● Using data to troubleshoot production issues.
● Technical leadership experience
● Experience overseeing or coordinating work of others.
● Senior engineer experience alone is not sufficient for the Tech Lead role.
