Responsibilities:
● Develop new features.
● Fix bugs on existing features.

Requirements:
● Fullstack Software Engineer with hands-on experience on both backend & frontend.
● Have strong knowledge of Clojure, Java, or JavaScript, as well as be familiar with AWS cloud services.
● Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) or equivalent four-year degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
● 5-7 years of proven experience working in a similar role.
● Full-stack Software Engineer with hands-on experience on both backend & frontend:
– Demonstrated knowledge of software architecture and design patterns and test/QA design principles are required.
– Strong experience designing and building backend systems with languages such as Clojure, Java or JavaScript.
– Hands on experience developing microservices. Using Serverless framework is a huge plus.
– AWS experience with services such as lambdas, S3, Rabbitmq, etc.
– Any functional programming experience is nice to have and a huge plus (especially if they happen to have experience with Clojure, Elixir, or any other functional programming language)
– Experience with Java, Scala, Kotlin, or Groovy. Understanding and experience working with JVM.
– Wider experience in programming stacks. Must be able to perform work with at least two different languages.
– Deep understanding of ES6/Javascript and strong experience working with modern web frameworks such as VueJs and/or React. (VueJS, which we use, and Typescript are a plus)
– Working knowledge of open-source databases and data stores. (Think MySQL, PostgreSQL, Memcache, Redis, ElasticSearch)
– A good understanding of security principles and best practices for handling sensitive data, and familiarity with OWASP security recommendations.
– Good understanding of queues, data structures, and algorithms applicable to application development.
– Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
– Experience designing and writing testable code (unit tests, integration tests)
– Hands-on experience with GNU/Linux-based systems (SSH, scripting, etc)
– Proficiency with at least one scripting language such as bash, python, Perl, or similar.
– Knowledge of modern version control systems such as Git.
– Desire to grow in development with functional programming languages.
– Outstanding collaboration and communication skills are essential.
– Experience developing secure software systems based upon industry specifications.
– Experience analyzing code for weaknesses and errors and presenting detailed plans to improve them.
– Experience developing customized code for multiple projects simultaneously.
– Ability to learn new languages and technologies strongly preferred.
