The Automation Engineer will design and implement automation workflows to improve efficiency, reduce manual toil, and enable proactive incident remediation. This role supports observability initiatives by integrating automation and AIOps into monitoring and alerting systems.
Key Responsibilities:
● Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows for monitoring and incident remediation.
● Integrate observability platforms with ITSM tools to automate alert-to-incident creation.
● Implement noise suppression, event correlation, and self-healing capabilities.
● Work with SREs to design predictive monitoring and anomaly detection solutions.
● Ensure automation workflows align with compliance, security, and governance policies.
● Continuously optimize automation processes to improve system reliability and reduce MTTR.
Required Skills:
● Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar).
● Experience with automation frameworks (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or similar).
● Knowledge of AIOps platforms and event correlation tools.
● Familiarity with observability tools and telemetry pipelines (logs, metrics, traces).
● Experience integrating monitoring/observability with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, ADO).
● Ability to design and implement self-healing workflows in cloud/on-prem environments.
