The role:
The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the Shopify platform. The primary responsibility of the Shopify Expert will be to develop and maintain Shopify sites leveraging Shopify Liquid, and Shopify Themes. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of e commerce best practices.
Duties and responsibilities:
● Customize themes with Liquid templating language to build dynamic pages, and implement advanced functionalities.
● Configure and optimize Shopify settings, including payment gateways, shipping options, taxes, and checkout processes to ensure smooth operations and a seamless customer experience.
● Integrate third-party applications, plugins and tools with the Shopify platform to enhance functionality and automate processes. Experience with APIs and webhooks is highly desirable.
● Develop custom Shopify themes and apps to fulfill specific business requirements.
● Implement UI/UX enhancements and tailor the platform to align with branding guidelines.
● Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to the Shopify platform, including performance optimization, bug fixes, and compatibility problems. Provide timely support to internal stakeholders and end-users.
● Document customizations, configurations, and integrations for future reference and knowledge sharing. Maintain clear and organized documentation of Shopify-related processes and workflows.
● Keep abreast of the latest trends, updates, and new features in the Shopify ecosystem. Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to enhance platform functionality and performance.
● Make the team and clients better by providing effective solutions that are based on best practices as well as innovation and perspective.
Required skills – Must have:
● Strong ability to communicate in English (Professional English proficiency)
● 3+ years of professional experience as a Shopify Developer.
● Expert-level knowledge of Liquid templating language.
● Strong understanding of e-commerce principles and best practices.
● Mid/Senior JavaScript skills.
● Experience in HTML5, CSS3, Javascript/Jquery.
Soft Skills:
● Comfortable researching and testing solutions and best practices, and able to find the most efficient solution for the selected task.
● Task estimation, time management, accurate and effective reporting.
● Collaborate with colleagues from different expert areas.
● Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
● Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions within deadlines.
● Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
● Passion for good workflows, automation, and well-designed software.
Nice to have:
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
● Experience with Shopify Plus and enterprise-level e-commerce solutions.
● Shopify or other Ecommerce certifications.
● Experience with cross-browser, platform, and device manual/automation testing.
