We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience to take complete ownership of critical components of our platform, including our Event Management, Lobby, IRL, and Jobseeker systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong>
\u25cfBackend Development: Build and maintain high-performance backends for Event Management and Lobby systems, primarily using Java\/Spring Boot, with secondary support in Django\/Python.
\u25cfFrontend Development: Develop and optimize user-facing applications using React across multiple frontends (Event Management, Lobby, IRL, and Jobseeker).
\u25cfData & Architecture: Work with Kafka for event-driven backend architecture, implement GraphQL APIs, and manage data layers using SQL or MongoDB.
\u25cfEnd-to-End Ownership: Take full responsibility for the build and deployment lifecycle. You will own your tasks from conception to merging and production deployment.
\u25cfData-Driven Troubleshooting: Use data and analytics proactively to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues.
Must<\/strong> Haves<\/strong>
\u25cf5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
\u25cf Primary Backend: Strong expertise in Java \/ Spring Boot (Event Management & Lobby backends).
\u25cf Secondary Backend: Proficiency or solid experience with Django \/ Python.
\u25cf Frontend: Strong experience with React building complex frontends.
\u25cfData & Messaging: Hands-on experience with Kafka, GraphQL, and databases (SQL or MongoDB).
\u25cf Data Tools: Experience with at least one of the following: Dagster, Data Lakes, or Amazon Athena.
\u25cf DevOps: Proven experience with modern build and deployment workflows.
\u25cf High Autonomy: A self-starter capable of working independently and taking initiative rather than waiting for instructions.
\u25cf Fast Learner: Ability to ramp up quickly in a fast-paced environment and assume ownership over multiple projects.
\u25cf Dealing with Ambiguity: Comfortable navigating ambiguous requirements and turning them into strategic, actionable engineering solutions.
\u25cf Communication: Clear and concise communication skills, both technical and non-technical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cfProduct Mindset: Previous experience acting as a Product Manager or working closely with Go-To-Market (GTM) teams to help prioritize engineering roadmaps.
\u25cf AI-Assisted Development: Experience leveraging modern AI tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Windsurf) to accelerate development and efficiency.
