As a Frontend Web Developer specializing in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), your main responsibility is to create visually appealing, user-friendly, accessible and responsive interfaces using AEM’s front end technologies and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.
You will be responsible for converting design mockups and wireframes into fully functional web pages that align with project requirements and brand guidelines, collaborating closely with the back end development team, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of front end components with the overall application architecture. Your output should showcase expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AEM-specific front end tools such as Sightly/HTL, client libraries, and responsive design techniques, and should be built for optimal performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility. Attention to detail, a keen eye for design, and the ability to effectively communicate with team members are essential for success in this role, and vital for delivering visually impressive, intuitive, and engaging web interfaces that enhance the user experience.
Responsibilities:
● Develop performant, dynamic and secure enterprise web applications using AEM.
● Follow engineering and programming best practices in standard development frameworks.
● Build AEM components and pages for accessibility, modularity and optimization.
● Lead code reviews for technical staff and contribute to improvement refactors.
● Coordinate complex changes and requirements with back end developers.
● Provide technical support and expertise for clients.
● Assist in creation of internal and external technical documentation.
Relevant Skills / Experience:
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent 7+ years work experience.
● 7-9+ years of experience developing front end components using Sightly, CSS(SCSS), HTML5, and JavaScript, preferably with large-scale enterprise applications or websites.
● 3-5+ years experience with Adobe Experience Manager Sites and Assets (DAM)
● Solid knowledge of responsive web design.
● Solid experience with Javascript frameworks, preferably React and Next.js.
● Understanding of how to optimize websites for performance, SEO and accessibility.
● Knowledge of preprocessor scripting languages and module bundlers.
● Knowledge of integration with headless CMS.
● Working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager Sites and Assets (DAM)
● Ability to work with AEM local environments.
● Understanding of CI/CD configuration and workflows.
● Solid experience with Git.
● Experience with unit testing and TDD.
● Experience with GraphQL.
● Knowledge of communication through RESTful services.
● Ability to work within Scrum methodology.
● Solid communication and collaboration skills.
